Mobile Baby

Brayden is rolling and playing like crazy now. He would rather be on his tummy than his back because it is easier for him to play with toys and get what he wants. He doesn't crawl but he can roll and rotate himself to get his toys and move a little ways.

It is funny because no matter where I put him on the rug he will always find his way to the hardwood. Silly boy.

In this pic he started off on his back in the middle of his playmat and this is where he ended up.

Here is another video of him rolling over. Everytime I lay him down on his back he rolls to his tummy, even in his crib.

Family Fun

Here are some pictures we took from this weekend with the family. The first is the only picture we got from our camera before the battery ran out. The other is all the 5 grandsons.

Belated Fourth of July

I know it is a little bit late but Eric was disappointed that I did not put the 4th of July pics on the blog. I have just been behind because without internet at my house yet it is just not as convenient to come to Eric's office etc. But the good news is that we are getting internet on Friday!! Yeah! We had someone come last week but they couldn't get service at our house, so anyways here is what we were up to on the 4th.

In the morning we went to a 4th of July pararde and breakfast put on by our ward. It was fun but would have been more for kids slightly older than Brayden.

Eric thinks that this is just the funniest picture ever, probably because this is the face that he makes. Don't mind me in the background.

Brayden has discovered his toes!

He loves those fingers.

Later in the day we went to the fireworks show in Sandy. Eric's sister Joy and her husband Cameron and their kids were there from out of town and his younger sister Jerri and brother David were also there. It was lots of fun and we were glad we got to hang out with all of them.

Brayden loved the fireworks and stared at them almost non-stop for the whole 20 minutes.

As you can see we could not get him to look at the camera!

Wheeler Farm and Temple Square

Last Sunday we went to my Grandma and Grandpa B's for dinner. After dinner we went on a walk to Wheeler farm.
The geese got a little too close for comfort and they even bit Grandma in the bum. Crazy birds!
My Uncle Kevin and his son Ethan came with us. Brayden and Ethan are first cousins once removed. Ethan loved pushing Brayden in the stroller. Brayden always gets worn out at the end of a good stroller ride.

This week I also went down to Temple Square with my cousin Kelli and her little girl Kaylan. We went up to the top of the conference center and walked around the temple grounds. We enjoyed the visitors center and the church history museum. We had a fun time even with our crazy parking adventures!

The Zoo

Brayden and I made our first trip to the zoo. Kelli and Kaylan invited us to go with them and we had so much fun. Brayden was really good and stayed awake most of the time. I don't think he was really too enthused to see the animals but he likes riding in the stroller and it is always fun to get out of the house. The white alligator was pretty neat and the baby giraffe was very cute. By the time we finished seeing all the animals both Brayden and Kaylan were sound asleep. Thanks for inviting us Kelli!

Trip to Reno

This post might get a little long but it has been a while. We just got back from our trip to Reno. My brother David got home from Brazil! We had a great time and here are a few highlights from the trip. This is David when we picked him up at the airport. Brayden slept through all the excitement. We took Brayden swimming for the first time. We tried the big pool first and it was too chilly but when we got in the baby pool he was loving it. He was so relaxed! He was kicking and smiling and I think he is going to take after his dad.
My friend Kendall got married while we were there too and I got be a bridesmaid (pics of that coming soon). We also went to Lake Tahoe. Eric had never been there and it was great fun. The boys were all catching crawdads and minnows. Too bad it was really smoky from the fires in CA so Eric didn't get the full effect.

We had so much fun with my family. Brayden loved being passed around by my brothers and getting to know everyone better. Thanks for letting us stay!

Rolling Over

Brayden rolled over from his stomach to his back. He is liking tummy time more and more. Some things he is doing right now are putting everything he can get his hands on in his mouth, learning to shriek, grabbing toys and moving around a little on the floor. He is so much fun! In the video he had already started rolling over before I got the camera out so it is only like a half rolling over but he did it all himself I promise:) video

Why music?

Blogging is awesome, it let's us all keep up with everything that is going on, and seeing the new pictures and just feel more informed with all our family and friends. So here's my honest question,

Why put a music player on your blog?

Isn't it annoying everytime you go to a different blog, your checking what's new like its nobodies business and all the sudden blasting from the speakers is some girl/boy band letting you know what's up and everyone around looks at you like what the $?!* is wrong with you? Am I the only one that feels this way, I mean heck if I want to listen to music, I have iTunes...

One Cute Baby
