What We've Been Up To...

Playing, Playing, and more Playing!!! Brayden is really starting to enjoy toys and playing and he has so much fun.

This week he found one of his cousin's little green balls on the floor and was going to town. He was determined to get it in his mouth. He tried really hard as you can see from the determined look on his face. Don't worry I was supervising to make sure he didn't really eat it.

We got him a doorway bouncer, but he doesn't like it that much. He doesn't like anything that contains him. He likes to be on the go. Also note the colorful playmat I had to get to cover up the hardwood floor as much as possible to prevent further bumps and bruises.

He is eating all kinds of solids and as you can see is a huge mess! What would eating be if you couldn't have a little fun.

He loves to help with the laundry. He pulls it out faster than I can fold!

Brayden is learning how to snort out of his nose. He makes the funniest face and breathes as hard as he can through his nose. We are hoping to catch this on video as well as the hand clapping he has started. So far six months is so much fun!!

6 Month Stats

This week we went to the doctor for Brayden's 6 month checkup. He weighed 18lbs. 5 oz. (64%) and 28 inches (92%). He is continuing to grow and we were glad to see that he is a healthy little boy. Here are some of the things that Brayden can do at 6 months:

-Started eating solid food
-Sits up by himself
-Crawls
-Pulls up on things
-Laughs
-Has a tooth
-and gets into everything!!

The other morning he had broken a glass candle, pulled up on the toilet, tried to eat my makeup, bumped his mouth on the laundry basket, and got into water bottles in the kitchen. This was all before noon and all while I was following right with him. He is definitely mischievous...but sure is cute!

His new favorite position...

Let me have that camera!

Dump Trucks and Other Fun

Brayden has been having so much fun with his cousins. He loves watching all of the things that they do and how active they are. He had fun riding around the backyard in one of their dump trucks. Oh to be a boy!

Here are Eric and Brayden.

6 Months Ago Today...

...Our beautiful little boy was born. I can't believe how fast the time has gone and how much fun Brayden is everyday. He is learning new things and can always make me laugh. We love him so much and are so grateful he was sent to our family. Here is a recap of the last 6 months and a little update on what Brayden has been up to lately.

The day he was born. He had so much dark hair!

One month(about)

Two months. This was his blessing day.

Three months. I love the double chin:)

Four months

Five Months

Six Months

Lately...Brayden has been getting into all kinds of mischief. He crawls all over and is starting to pull up on things. Eric found him standing up in his crib the other day!

He is a brave little guy(sometimes too much) and just lets go of what he is holding onto, hence the fat lip:(.

I have decided that having a hardwood floor is hard on a baby! He got his first tooth this week and is anxious to try anything new. We love chasing after him and trying to keep up with all his adventures.

Oh Rise and Shout...It's Football Time!

The day Eric has been "waiting for since December" has arrived and past. This last Saturday we went to the first BYU football game of the season. My dad and brother David were also in town and several of Eric's siblings were there too. It was roasting hot and Brayden and I spent most of our time either walking up the stairs or underneath the bleachers we had a good time. BYU won 41-17 and Eric can hardly wait for the next game in a few weeks.

The stadium. It was seriously roasting the first half of the game and Brayden was so red we had to keep dumping water on him to cool him off. He was a trooper.

All decked out in the BYU gear. Thanks Jerri and Eric's mom for Brayden's cute BYU outfit. It fits perfect!

We enjoyed spending time with my dad while he was here and look forward to having Dave closer to us!

Cute cousins. Ethan and Caleb were sure to let me know that they are BYU fans too!

Eric and Brayden ready for a football filled weekend.

Cute little cougar crawling all over:)
